Freelance/bank Our full time staff covers most of our work, but we require freelance staff to cover certain areas of the UK or to assist when our diaries are full or to cover sickness absence. Applicants should complete the one page questionnaire and attach their CV and a current photo. Our Head of Physio will review applications and advise the type of work the freelancer is suitable for i.e. courses, clinics, health promotions or all. Successful applicants will receive a contract for services detailing terms, conditions, pay etc.
When suitable work becomes available we will contact the freelance physio in that area and arrange the booking on for a date to suit the freelancer. Sometimes the client specifies the date and if our first choice freelancer is not available, we will contact the next freelance physio on our database. Full training and all equipment, materials, forms etc will be provided by PhysiCare. If you are interested in presenting client handling courses, you will need to come to Glasgow for one days training on the manoeuvres we teach. No charge will be made for this training, but freelancers will have to pay for their own travel and accommodation if applicable. Half day courses, clinical and promotional work do not require face-to-face training. Everything you need will be posted to you.
The amount of work each freelancer wishes to do is entirely up to him or her. Some freelancers work for us 4-6 days a month and others once or twice a year.
Although all freelancers should be Chartered Physiotherapists, PhysiCare has it's own insurances, which covers anyone working on behalf of the company. |
